Hualien Elders

The Taipei Multicultural Arts Group supported and attended the 2005 Hualien International Totem Festival on April 16th and 17th in the beautiful city of Hualien on the East coast of Taiwan.

On April 17th a delegation broke off to film revisiting the last three surviving Tattooed elders of the Hualien area for Voices in the Clouds. Alice presented gifts of photos from our filming in January and certificates of recognition.
