This celebration brings together Taiwan's young indigenous people attending different colleges in northern Taiwan along with tribal elders from their villages in an evening of song and dance. Composed of two main parts, indigenous dance and indigenous folk songs, the performances will highlight the innate ability of these artists to express the power and beauty of nature with deft enthusiasm. Performance styles will range from the traditional through the modern with the aim of imparting a fresh perspective on the connection between traditional and popular aesthetics. The hope is to present to the audience the same sense that one might get from visiting a tribal ceremony in the native villages and also further a sense of camaraderie among the different generations of indigenous people.
