Despite being rescheduled twice, the 2008 World Summit of Indigenous Cultures is considered a success by everyone involved.
The Summit was attended by indigenous peoples from Taiwan, the Philippines, and North America as well as government officials and representatives from indigenous related organizations.
The diverse venues of the Summit allowed participants to exchange ideas and crafts in various settings as the Summit progressed through press conference, performance, conference, an evening of dance performance and a three-day visit to indigenous villages.
The single day of the Conference offered a condensed line-up of presentations addressing the Summit themes. Please review participant presentations as we put them on line. We are also putting on-line photos from the entire Summit including the three days of village visits.
The organizers sincerely thank our sponsors, the participants and all the volunteers who made this Summit possible.
