排灣族傳統的歌謠吟唱方式，分析如下：
排灣族的歌謠非常豐富，抒情浪漫或是悠遠懷古，但歌詞極為含蓄，意近指遠。早期排灣男子要心儀的女子表白，必須在女家父母親友之前，以歌聲來表達，排灣族人認為有教養的男子必須謙卑，無一絲驕氣。歌詞是即興而自由，愛意則挾在隱喻裡。

歌謠與排灣族的婚儀：
排灣族的歌謠幾乎是在傳統婚禮所唱的，排灣族對祭典或婚典的舞會都十分重視，因此舞會不論男女老少，一定都到齊，舞會上大家盡情地跳舞唱歌，表達祝福的。婚禮當天的前半夜的舞會，是屬於未婚男女的聚會，作父母的在這個場合機留意為自己的子女物色對象。到半夜之後，在新娘家中，女方的長輩團團圍坐，深情地唱出祝福新人的歌，這一大段吟唱叫做『祝福禮歌』，長輩們反覆地深情唱頌，一邊唱歌一邊拭淚，新娘也頻頻掉淚，要直到接近天亮為止。
