魯凱族

神話與服飾

手工織繡的服飾是魯凱族最上等的穿著方式，織工精細，以黑色、藍色或紅色為底布，將傳統的百步蛇、陶壺、宇宙神的圖騰，仔細地縫製在衣領、衣袖、衣沿、衣背、褲腳、褲腰；裙擺以及裙邊上，圖案繁複美麗，織工精緻典雅，但因手工製作曠日費時，將手工的樣式以電腦掃描做成布條，再以滾邊貼布方式，製作出與手工一樣效果的服飾，逐漸普及化，料材質的變化較多樣。

魯凱族的服飾製作方式依工法區分如下：

1. （一）十字繡∼在黑、藍及紅色十字繡布上，以各色線材，將圖案繡出來。
2. （二）珠繡∼將圖案以各色珠粒（多半為紅、黃、白、綠為主）縫在布上形成鮮明豔麗的視覺效果。
3. （三）貼布繡∼將圖騰以色布剪成需要的形狀，貼在服飾底布上，再以色線把圖騰邊緣縫上邊飾。這類服飾工藝在部落逐漸形成主流，貼布繡有另且極具祖先風華的視覺效果。

百合花與百步蛇頭冠∼魯凱族人對百合花與百步蛇的敬重，頭冠是整體服飾裝備的首要焦點。魯凱族的男女有正式頭冠的樣子，男子以百步蛇圖騰為主，加上山豬牙圍繞成一顆太陽形狀的飾物。女子頭冠則比較細緻華麗，珠繡、銀飾、山豬牙，再加上百合花，佩帶起來既美麗，又非常具有故事性。
