太魯閣族

神話與樂舞

原住民許多傳統歌謠，通常是曲和詞不分家。傳統太魯閣族老人教唱古調是直接教唱整個歌，沒有所謂先唱譜再唱詞的情況。

太魯閣族傳統舞蹈以女性的舞蹈居多，歌謠則大都以隨性哼唱，即興起舞方式表演，男性的舞步簡單且多以左右前後跨步方式來配合女性的舞蹈。

太魯閣族歌舞的時機：

太魯閣族喜歡一起唱歌或跳舞，其歌舞的時機於場合如下：

• 餘各種歲時祭儀例如祖靈祭、播種祭、收穫祭等。
• 於舉行婚宴時。
• 當青年男女在望樓聚集時。

太魯閣族歌謠的涵義：

歌謠是太魯閣族人娛樂活動的重要部分，其價值與目的和意義如下：

• 族人藉吟唱歌謠，溝通血親團體間的和諧，使社群的合作關係更圓滿。
• 族人銀唱歌謠及利用跳躍式舞步來表達深情。
• 族人藉古調歌謠來表現威猛勇敢的精神。
• 祈求鬼靈賜福族人的歌謠都比較單調艱深，因為這是唱給鬼靈聽的。
• 在原住民社會中由於尚未發展文字，因此『話』、『語』、『歌』、『舞』幾乎是同步發展的。
