On February 14th 2006, leaders representing each of Taiwan's indigenous tribes, along with aboriginal enterprises rooted in the culture of all of the different tribes from all parts of Taiwan, came together to form the Taiwan Indigenous Cultural Enterprise Development Association with the goal of building aboriginal values, enterprise, arts and education and cultivating talent and organizations from each tribal culture.
The Taiwan Indigenous Cultural Enterprise Development Association is a national association of cultural entrepreneurs representing each of Taiwan's indigenous tribes and every geographical area of the island. TICEDA empowers its members to develop their knowledge, technology and skills in the performance arts, handicrafts, clothing design, eco-tourism and travel, lodging, indigenous cuisine, and other industries, with the goal of strengthening their communities and identities and developing awareness of the unique aesthetics and cultural heritage of their people in Taiwan and internationally.
